Life Legacy
Karen Evonne Kennedy, 49, of Rock Island, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Kewanee Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born April 7, 1960, in Rock Island, to Johnny Grayson and Willa Sanders.
She loved to sing, tell stories and jokes. She loved the Lord with all of her heart.
Survivors include her mother, Willa Sanders; father, Johnny (Jonnie) Grayson; sisters, Kym Mans, Rock Island, Sheila Kankin, Rock Island, Melissa (Craig) McGhee, Davenport, Kelly Williams, Rock Island; brothers, Brian (Laura) Rankin, Columbus, Mo., Craig Powell, Minnesota, Keith Kennedy, Des Moines, Iowa; grandmother, Flora Wallace, Rock Island; uncles, James (Louis) Reaves, Rock Island, Johnny (Eunice) Mans, Springfield, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Desman Mans.
