Biography

Arlene E. Glenn, 89, of Colona, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Good Samaritan Village in Geneseo.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Colona United Methodist Church.

She was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Milan, to Herman T. and Myra E. Wilson Reeser. She married Kenneth Dale Glenn on March 1, 1941, in Bettendorf. He passed away in 1991.

She was a member of Colona United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her grandchildren and going to church.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Sue (Robert) Ferry, Moline, and Lorie Kay (Terry) Ferguson, Erie; son, Gary (Nigel) Dale Glenn, Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gladys Reeser, Colona; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Geneseo Good Samaritan Village, especially Mary Ann and April.
