Biography

Keith W. Downing, 52, of Silvis, died Jan. 23, 2010, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial is at Roselawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.

He was born Feb. 8, 1957, in Moline, son of John G. and Marjorie J. Allison Downing.

He was a central service tech at Trinity Regional Health System. He coached and enjoyed playing softball. He also enjoyed bowling, sports, the Cubs and the Bears. He attended New Life Fellowship Church, Moline.

Survivors include his sisters, Bev (Bill) Downing, Rhonda (Don) Smith, Peggy (Gene) Pope; brothers, Terry (Karin), Ted, Mike (Sue), Dan (Sherri), Joe (Debbie), twin brother Kevin, Scott, Bryan, Bruce (Lisa), Daran; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjore; and two brothers, Steve and Jayder.
