Biography
Cirila Valdez Tristan "Lilo," 78, of Colona, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Forest Hill Health and Rehab in East Moline.
A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7 Tuesday with a rosary at 3:45 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Cirila was born July 9, 1931, in Nuevo Laredo Tamps, Mexico the daughter of Juan Valdez Roque and Julia Mandujano Martinez. She worked at the Latin Village in East Moline for over 45 years. She married Genoveno Tristan on July 12, 1951, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He passed away May 28, 1964.
Survivors include her children, John, Colona; Irma (Jose) Flores, San Antonio, Texas, Martha (Marco) Huerta, Silvis, Genoveno Jr. (Paula), East Moline, Omero (Laura), East Moline, and Victor, East Moline; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera, East Moline, Soccorro, East Moline, Maria, San Antonio, Ursula and Pilia, both of Laredo, Mexico.
Cirila was preceded in death by her parents, husband and several sisters.
