Life Legacy
Irene K. Griffin, 89, of East Moline, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday. Feb. 11, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made toSilvis United Methodist Church.
She was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Stuttgart, Ark., to Jacob and Edna Koenig Earhart. She married John E. Griffin on April 22, 1939, in Rensselaer, Ind. He passed away Dec. 6, 1989.
Survivors include her special friends,Sylvia Gauthier and Jeanne and Donald Smith; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and a brother.
