Biography

Kevin Lothridge, 48, of Silvis, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at his home, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kevin was born March 5, 1961, in Moline, the son of Walter and Sharon Tisdale Kays. He was a master mechanic since 1977 and worked at Auto Tech Pro in Silvis for 10 years. Kevin loved NASCAR, going to the East Moline Speedway and boating.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Kays, Carbon Cliff; daughters, Jessica Harper and Christina Wright, both of Silvis; son, Stephen Daniels, San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Alexis, Leigha, Jannen, Caden and Gracie; siblings, Lori (Mike) Spray, Taylor Ridge, Kelly Sims, Moline, Karen (Douglas) Lanzen, Port Byron, Rebecca Kays, Silvis; his constant companion, Max; and his lifelong friend and business partner, Greg Griffin, Silvis. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Walter Kays; and his grandparents.
