Florence L. Land, 71, of East Moline, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born March 4, 1939, in Coal Valley, to Edgar and Caroline Koester Hollowell. She married Leonard Land April 11, 1981, in Silvis. He died in 1998.
She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Penny Spiker, East Moline, Candy Fisher, Alabama; son, Mark Voorhis, O'Fallen, Ill.; stepchildren, Ed Voorhis, James Land, Dale Land, Carolyn and Marilyn; sister, Elsie Gaither, Sterling, and Dorothy Dorsey, Tennessee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Kay, Gracie and Barb. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
