Biography

Florence Crawford, 87, of Silvis, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Aspen Rehab and Health Care, Silvis.

Services will be private. Burial will be at Willwood Burial Park, Rockford, Ill.

She was born Oct. 1, 1922, in Chicago, to Harold and Hulda Nelson Meehan. She married George Crawford June 7, 1941, in Rockton, Ill.

Survivors include her daughter, Ellen (John) Lohse, Hampton; son, Robert Crawford, Rockford; grandchildren, Lisa (Blake) Davis and Laura (Curt) Olson; four great-grandchildren, Kevin, Chad, Zachary and Lance; and sister, Francis (Jim) Morrison. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Lee, and uncle, Lee, and Oscar Nelson, who helped raise her; two sisters, Dorothy and Marjorie; and one brother, Don.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Aspen Rehab and Health Care for their loving care and friendship during her stay. These are exceptional and caring people that made mother's stay comfortable and truly at home. We will never forget all that they have done for her.
