Connie Sue Rodriguez, of Colona, IL, was the Mother of the World. Married to her beloved husband John Rodriguez on April 14, 1984 (Moline, IL) they soon after created two wonderful daughters and enjoyed a simple, grateful life with one another. Connie dedicated her life to her family, beloved nieces/nephews (and their children), friends, countless children she taught at the Black Hawk Area Special Education Center and Moline High School, as well as all plants and animals of this earth. Her love was as tender as the first spring flower and as enduring and resilient as the summer sun. Her love of this world carried on through to her children. Connie put others before herself and lived joyously among her garden and the earth. Though she has left too soon, her time was well spent as she showered her husband, children, and community with the most gracious nurturing love for which we are eternally grateful. She is survived by her loving husband John Rodriguez, two loving daughters Ashley and Abby Rodriguez, two sisters Carrie Stout and Carol Sellers, nieces Michelle Ponce (and her children Audrey, Brynley, Levi) and Amanda Sellers (and her son Liam), nephews Brandon and Jason Sellers, two beloved tail-wagging grand-doggies Moon and Bo, and kitty boy Albee. May she be with us in loving spirit, always. Her visitation will be 4-7 pm Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday at the Mortuary. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.
