Ann Hess

Ann L. Hess, 79, of Colona passed away Tuesday - December 30, 2014 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be10am Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 12-2pm Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Ann was born Oct. 3, 1935 in Muskegon, MI the daughter of Arvid and Agnes Nelson. She married Jerald Johnson in 1955 in Rock Island. He passed away. She later married Charles Hess in 1974 in Longmont, CO. Ann and Chuck ran the Antique business known as the Tee Pee Trading Post in Carbon Cliff for 23 years. She loved singing, reading, playing piano, spending time with her family and was an avid basketball fan. Ann is survived by her husband Chuck; daughters Sheila (Jeff) Hendrickson of Camarillo, CA, Jeri (Steve) Covemaker of Colona and Cinda Hageman of Rapids City; sister Judy Balswick of CA and Brother Don Nelson of Hawaii. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren Blake, Stephanie, Ian, Brittany, Devin and Tiffany and 5 great grandchildren Hannah, Callie, Adalynn, Crosby and Olive Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her first Husband Jerald.
