Barbara Greer

Barbara L. Greer, 84, of Colona, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis. A memorial visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Barbara was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Moline, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy Blackman Krambeck. She married Bruce Greer on April 14, 1951, in Davenport. He passed away March 21, 2009. Barbara retired from the Rock Island Arsenal. Survivors include her children, Brenda (Dale) Feaster, Port Byron, Betty (Denny) Penn, Gilbert, Ariz., and Brian (Jennifer) Greer, North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Beth, Barbie, Danielle, Dustin, Channon, Connor and Caden; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, Bryce, Colin, Keagan, Cameron, Nova, Aaron and Harlen; siblings, Mary Jane Johnson, Joliet, Ill., Harold Krambeck, Hudson, N.Y., Doris Thiem, Geneseo, Helen Dow, Virginia, and Sandra Rowe, Silvis. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Stephan, in 1956; a sister, Frances; and a brother, Herbert.
