Barbara Merrill

Barbara Merrill, 70, of Colona passed away Sunday - February 17, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Casual attire visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice. Barbara was born March 11, 1942, in Rock Island, the daughter of Victor and Mary Belligante Draper. She married Robert E. Merrill on Dec. 24, 1970, in Rock Island. She enjoyed her grandkids, her flower garden in the summer and going to yard sales. Survivors include her husband, Bob; children, Christopher (Sharon) Merrill, Colona, Mechelle (John) Larson, Geneseo, Jody (Thad) Lindstrom, Geneseo, Robert J. (Kelly) Merrill, Colona; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, John Draper, Florida, Juanita Schutz, Florida, Kenneth Draper, Nevada, and Victor Draper, Florida. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy.
