Betty J. Bell

Betty J. Bell, 96, of Silvis passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 at her home.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center.

Betty was born August 6, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK the daughter of Lawrence and Inez Reinholdt Kendall. She married Benny Bell March 23, 1954 in Moline, IL. He passed away February 27, 2021. Betty retired from G.A. Millard after 30 years. She enjoyed camping, ceramics, bowling, crocheting, cooking and in her younger years she enjoyed going to auctions, antiquing, and refinishing furniture. Betty loved hosting and preparing for all of the family gatherings.

Survivors include her children Marcella (Rick) Anderson of New Windsor, Sandra (Brad) Helgason of Davenport, Brenda (Craig) Kauzlarich of Colona, Kim (Mark) Sikorski of Davenport, Karla (Bruce) Johnston of Rock Island, and Karen (Todd) VanOpdorp of Moline; daughter in law Debra Roeper; 24 grandchildren; 37 (plus one on the way) great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard Roeper, grandson Jeremy Franks, and great great granddaughter Ivyeanna Rose.
