Betty L. Kelley, 82, of Green River, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona, with visitation one hour before service time on Tuesday. Burial is at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to Green River United Methodist Church.
She was born April 13, 1929, in Green River, to Leonard and Ruby Sten Roesner. She married Dennis Kelley, Feb. 19, 1972, in Green River.
Betty worked at Galliert's Gas Station in Colona for 15 years, and she was also the neighborhood news editor for the Dispatch for 10 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Green River Methodist Church for 56 years, past president/treasurer for the Colona Senior Citizens and a member of the Quad City Heartbeats.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis; nieces and nephews, Stan (Sue) Roesner, Lori (Dave) Bruning, Julie (Mike) Fowler, Holly (Dave) Carlson, Marykae (Mike) Cameron; and many great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Orville Roesner
