Betty Neff

Betty L. Neff, 89, of Silvis, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center in Moline. Private family services will be held. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Betty was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Moline, the daughter of Edmond and Stephanie DeVoss Vermeire. She married Clair Neff in 1942, in Davenport. He passed away May 22, 2000. Betty was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Moline, where she and her husband were caretakers. She also enjoyed shopping and participating in the Pulse program at Illini. She especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons, Gerald, Silvis and Steve (Angie), Vinton, Iowa; three grandchildren; and a brother, Donald (Linda) Vermeire, Rock Island. Betty was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Sandra Jean Frary; two grandchildren and three siblings.
