Beverly Meadows

Beverly E. Meadows, 86, of Colona passed away Oct. 1, 2018 at Aspen Rehab and Health Care in Silvis.

Funeral services will be 12pm Thursday with visitation 1-hour prior at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Beverly was born Nov. 16, 1931 in Yatesville, IL the daughter of Dolly Knifley and Theodore Donovan. She married Herbert Meadows Dec. 20, 1954 in Jacksonville, IL. He passed away April 8, 1995. Beverly retired from Jewel Osco in East Moline. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Colona and enjoyed embroidering, cross stitching and working crosswords.

Survivors include her daughters Cathy (Tony) Vincent of Colona and Brenda (Mike) Jaffe of Davenport; grandchildren Anthony (Alyssa) Taylor of Andalusia and Elia (Melissa) Bybee of Davenport; great grandchildren Riliegh Bybee, Adalynn Taylor, Addison Taylor, Dominic Bybee, Newell Yates and Peyton Yates; brother Ted J. Donovan of Jacksonville, IL; special four-legged fur friends Jackie, Molly and Tator Tot; half brothers and sisters Gary, JoAnn, Mary Ann, Kaye, Karen, Bill, Bob and Steve.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband; sister Dolores “Sis”, brother Ellsworth and a special friend James Steele.
