Bonnie Jean Birkhead, 90, of East Moline passed away July 27, 2017 at her home.
Graveside services will be 11am Monday at Viola Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
Bonnie was born July 17, 1927 in Mercer County near Aledo the daughter of Floyd and Edna Sheese Spence. She married William E. "Ed" Birkhead Aug. 12, 1945 in the Presbyterian Parsonage in Aledo. He passed away May 24, 2006.
Bonnie farmed with her husband in Mercer County and later worked as a part time bookkeeper, moving to Rock Island County in 1970 and to East Moline in 1989. She enjoyed her home and reading. She also loved the outdoors, nature and all animals.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother in infancy.
