Brenda Subdon

Brenda Subdon, 72, of Colona, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island. Private visitation for family and close friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Brenda was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Moline, the daughter of Maurice and Julianna Karwath Willaert. She married Joseph Subdon on July 26, 1958, in Colona. He passed away Dec. 22, 2011. Brenda retired from HC Duke and Son in East Moline. She enjoyed volunteering for RSVP and going to the Mallard hockey games. Survivors include her daughters, Lorena (Edmundo) Soliz, Urbandale, Iowa, and Theresa Webster, Dixon, Ill.; grandsons, David Soliz, Iowa City, Thomas Soliz, Urbandale, Nicholas (Christina) Subdon, Rockford, Ill., Nathan Webster, Erie, and Todd (Youri) Webster, Mildenhall Airforce Base, London, England; one great-grandchild on the way; siblings, David Willaert, Colona, Deborah Happel, Cambridge, Thomas (Donna) Willaert, Geneseo, and Joann (Mike) Snelling, East Moline; and special niece, Jill Bowers. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.
