Charles J. "Chuck" Miller, 66, of Colona, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Chuck was born Oct. 14, 1949, in Moline, the son of Jack and Nora Crawford Miller. He married Sherry Price June 18, 1994, in Geneseo. Chuck served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked at John Deere as an assembler retiring after 38 years. Chuck enjoyed camping and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry; children, Jack Carl (Denelle) Miller, East Moline, Ross (Anita) Miller, Colona, Josh (Lacy) Miller, Colona, Justin Miller, Colona, Wendy Ramos, East Moline, Lisa (Ron) Webb, East Moline, and Travis (Kelly) Cook, Rock Island; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bud (Jan) Miller, Colona, Karen Morrison, Geneseo, Jay Miller, Colona, Sue (Leroy) Kelley, Colona, and Jackie Miller, Arkansas.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather, Homer Heron.
