Charles Slocum

Charles "Charlie" Wayne Slocum, 44, of Colona, died Friday, May 16, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family at Blackhawk Bank and Trust. He was born March 17, 1970, in Moline, to William "Bill" and Sharon Bowker Slocum. He married Sally Jo Peel on Oct. 20, 2008, in Davenport. He loved fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Sally Jo; his mother, Sharon Slocum; children, Austin Rejda, Keegan Guile, Samantha Jo Slocum and Kaylin Slocum; his brother, Warren (Jessica) Slocum; and besters, Chris and Wendy Feltz. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Caitlyn Slocum; his father; and a nephew, Thomas "TomTom" Heatherly.
