Daniel Gustaf

Daniel Paul Gustaf, 65, of East Moline passed away March 8, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be 10am Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7pm Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Daniel was born June 13, 1949 in Silvis, IL the son of Joseph and Lucille Keagan Gustaf. He married Marilyn Weatherington March 18, 1972 in Hillsdale. Daniel retired from Iowa Interstate Railroad as a train engineer in March of 2010. He enjoyed racing and race cars and was knows at the race tracks as "Bomber Dan". He was also a member of the Carbon Cliff Eagles Club. Survivors include his wife Marilyn; children Jody (Todd Lentz) Murray of Hillsdale, Jeremy (Stacy Martinez) Gustaf of East Moline, Jacob Gustaf of Hillsdale, Jamie (Nathan Brooks) Kilker of Orion and Lori Gustaf of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren Stephanie, Chelsea, Austin, Grace, Logan, Elayna, Kayla, Miah, Marisa and one on the way; siblings David, Joe, Ronald (Lyn), Steven (Annette), Linda, Joann and Cindy. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
