Darlene W. Burkeybile, 81, of East Moline, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Darlene was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Geneseo, the daughter of Walter and Wilhelmina Schuetzler Rotz. She married Robert Burkeybile on May 6, 1950, in Moline. He passed away Aug. 31, 1991.
Darlene enjoyed bowling, roller skating and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Robert A. (Linda) Burkeybile, Silvis, Richard (Jan) Burkeybile, Colona, and David Burkeybile, East Moline; grandchildren, Janelle, Derek, Jared and David; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Dustin, Ashlyn and Leah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter, Susan; and seven brothers and sisters.
