David F. Kastner

David Francis Kastner, 82, of Hampton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 7th, 2023 at his home.

Dave was born in 1940 in Moline, IL, to Francis and Lema (Hayes) Kastner. He married Marsha Damp on June 29th, 1963.  The third oldest of six children, Dave grew up in Silvis and attended Saint Anne's Catholic School and United Township High School. He worked for John Deere Harvester Works, retiring in 2004 with 40 years of service.

Dave was a Christian man who deeply loved his family. He was very generous, a selfless provider who always made sure everyone had a plate of food and something to drink before he sat down to eat. Dave loved nature, and enjoyed fishing and spending time in his wooded backyard.

Left to honor his memory are his wife of 60 years, Marsha; sons Tim (Dina) Kastner, Hampton; Scott (Emily) Kastner, Silvis; daughter Alesia (Mike) Kastner-Bross; grandchildren Brianna Kastner and Dylan Kastner; brothers Philip and Gregory; sisters Elizabeth, Mary, Theresa, and Dolores; and his beloved dog Zoie.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
