Deborah Carden

Deborah M. Carden, 59, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. A private burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Komen Quad Cities in Deborah's name. Deborah was born June 30, 1954, in Moline, daughter of Charles and Eilleen Tyler Cordingly. She graduated from United Township High School in 1972. She married Don Carden on Sept. 7, 1971, in Moline. Deborah enjoyed traveling, camping and especially loved the company of her family as well as the finest group of friends anyone could hope for. All have been a great comfort during her battle with breast cancer. Deborah is survived by her mother, Eilleen; husband, Don; daughter, Brandie Sims; son, Patrick Carden; and four grandchildren, Nathyn, Samantha, Allie and John.
