Delfino Castaneda

Delfino C. Castaneda, 81, of Silvis passed away Tuesday Sept. 29, 2015 at his home. Per his wishes Delfino will be cremated. A memorial Mass will be held 11am Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis. A memorial visitation will be 8:30 - 10:30am Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Delfino was born Dec. 13, 1933 in Mexico the son of Juan and Teodora Cano Castaneda. He retired from X Pac as a machinist. Delfino enjoyed working with his hands and woodworking. Survivors include his life partner Mary Medina; daughters Gloria, Estella, Elvira, Alicia, Yolanda, Christina, Esther, Mercedes, Blaze, Dolores and Felicia; sons Victor, Ruben, Delfino Jr., Jesus and John; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren and brothers Rafael and Pedro.
