Donald Grafton

Donald Grafton, 73, of Colona, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at his home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation will be noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Donald was born Dec. 26, 1939, in Moline, the son of Richard and Rosie Grafton. He married Patsy Skiles on Feb. 12, 1993, in Hampton. She passed away May 6, 2011. Donald served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked at John Deere for 33 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed playing cards, camping and fishing. Survivors include his children, Terrie (Tom) Crawford, Frank (Jennifer) Harrington, Melissa Harrington, Gail (Ray) Ropp and Todd (Lisa) Harrington; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard, Dennis, Dwayne, Debbie and Dawn. Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Vera; father and stepmother, Rosie; his wife; a grandson, Cody Harrington; and a brother, DJ.
