Donald Hess, Jr

Donald E. Hess Jr., 61, of East Moline, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Rapids City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Donald was born Sept. 5, 1952, in Colorado Springs, Colo., the son of Donald Sr. and Emalou Beverlin Hess. He married Connie Ingersoll and later married Connie Johnson Dec. 23, 1993, in Rock Island. She passed away March 11, 2002. Donald was a member of Faith Walk World Outreach Center in East Moline. He retired from Alcoa as a steel plate worker. He enjoyed music and movies and spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughters, Wendy J. (Kent) Miner, Silvis, Michelle L. (Donald) Berthoud, Silvis, and Jessica M. (Derrick) Hearne, Blue Grass; seven grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Hetz and Brenda Stickler; brother, Mike Hess. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Connie.
