On December 2, 2023, Donna Ellen McCaulley, at the age of 64 was welcomed home by her Savior.  Donna was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer on October 20, 2021 and battled courageously and graciously for just over two years.  During that time, she vowed to choose Joy on her journey, all the while looking for ways to make an impact in the lives of others.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Friday, with a service to follow at 7:00PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bettendorf. Gifts can be made out to the Donna McCaulley Trust Fund, mailing address 206 Heart Pine Drive, Wendell, North Carolina, 27591.

Donna was born November 15, 1959 to Philip and Carol (Cubberley) Ashworth in Trenton, New Jersey.  Growing up, she spent many summers with her two sisters on their family boat in Barneget Bay and worked as a candy striper at Hamilton Hospital.  She married Dale McCaulley, August 15, 1978.  Dale and Donna were married for 45 years and had four children, two boys and two girls with a family motto of “four and no more.”  Dale and Donna spent their lives in ministry where she served in various different ministries from a from a Christian camp, to church ministries and most recently in the mission’s field, with the Timothy Initiative.   Along the way, Donna also worked in the automotive industry for several years as an office manager, where she was able to build lifelong friendships that she cherished dearly.  Her most favorite pastime was spending time with her family and making memories with her 12 grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband, Dale, four children, Glenn (Rachael) McCaulley, Sarah (Andrew) Reuter, Anna (Matthew) Sherman, Stephen (Julie) McCaulley, 12 grandchildren- Taylor, Lauren, Bailey, Xzavier, Dominic, Kay-Leigh, Madelyn, Carter, Caleb, Kiley, Micah, and Kelcey.  She is survived by her parents, Philip and Carol Ashworth, and her two sisters; Carol (Harold) Summers and Lisa (Conrad) Pelletier.

Donna lived her life with a passion to share the good news of the gospel of Christ to every people, in every place.  To carry on the legacy of Donna and the mission to share her faith, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial fund that will be dispersed to Grace Bible Church, RU Read E Ministries, The Timothy Initiative, and Pleasant View Baptist Church.
