Donnie Vickers Jr

Donald "Donnie" Vickers Jr., 39, of Port Byron, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. Donnie was born March 16, 1974, in Silvis, the son of Donald W. and Mary Ann Rotz Vickers. He graduated from Riverdale High School. He worked as a welder and enjoyed snowmobiling and was an animal lover. Survivors include his parents, Donald and Mary Ann Vickers, Port Byron; brothers, William (Bree) Vickers, Port Byron, and Robert (Nichole) Vickers, Port Byron. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
