Doris Yates-Wren

Doris Yates-Wren, 62, of East Moline, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at her home. A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation starting at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Doris was born on May 22, 1952, in Papenburg, Germany, the daughter of Ludwig and Adelheid Reinders. She married Carl Wren Oct. 11, 2011, in Rock Island. Doris retired from Olson Uniparts in May. She enjoyed gardening, cycling and drinking wine. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Adelheid (Anton) Muchall, Papenburg, Germany; husband, Carl Wren, East Moline; children, Sylvia Richardson, Cleveland, Ill., Jason Church, East Moline, and Lana (Alex) Yates, East Moline; stepchildren, Melinda (Bee Gineese) Segura, Rock Island, and Bud (Sharon) Wren, East Moline; grandchildren, Rachel, Megan (Zach), Dallas, Brandon and Emily; stepgrandchildren, Logan, Tyler, Arianna and Cody; six great-grandchildren; brother, Heinz (Hella) Reinders, Germany; and nieces, Sonja Becker and Nicole Nee and their children, all of Germany. Doris was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Renate.
