Dorothy Payne

Dorothy M. Payne, 93, of Moline passed away May 29, 2018 at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.

A memorial visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be 10am Tuesday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend the burial should meet at Schroder Mortuary at 9:15am. Memorials may be made to the family.

Dorothy was born Dec. 28, 1924 in Silvis, IL the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Jasper Bobb. She married Ernest Payne Nov. 2, 1945 in Rock Island, IL. He passed away Feb. 23, 1978. Dorothy enjoyed reading and watching Days of Our Lives.

Survivors include her children Judith Smith of Kaukauna, WI, Connie (David) Mack of Williamsburg, VA, Lisa (Shawn) Moseng of Moline and Jonna (Brian) Dailey of Moline; grandchildren Alan (Vivian) Humphrey, Clayton (Lynne) Humphrey, Tanya Chasteen, Gary Payne, Kevin Payne, John Fetterer, Dawn (Aaron) Curry, Shawna Daniels, Stacey Ashley, Ernest (Brandi) Mack, Amber (Tim) Cousins, Sara Moseng, Jeremy (Ashley) Payne; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and a sister Helen Anderson of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gary Payne and daughter Betty Daniels.
