Edra Hamric

Edra E. Hamric, 80, of East Moline, passed away Aug. 25, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and private services will be held at a later date. Edra was born Feb. 18, 1934, in Paden, Miss., the daughter of William and Lucy Long Butler. She married Willie J. Hamric on April 26, 1951, in Fulton, Miss. He passed away in August 1986. Edra enjoyed going to church, participating in church activities and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Jerry, East Moline, and Michael, Silvis; grandchildren, Alena, Keith, Stefanie, Brittney and Alexis; and 10 great-grandchildren. Edra was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a daughter, Machele Hamric.
