Ernest Collier

Ernest E. Collier, 61, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill. As he wished, there will be no services and his body will be cremated. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements. Ernest was born Sept. 14, 1953, in Hannibal, Mo., the son of Ernest Fisher and Neva (Thomas) Thompson. He worked for John Deere for 10 years. He enjoyed art and was a great artist. Ernest loved his family. Survivors include his grandchildren, CorShaune and LaShae McDuffy; siblings, Julie (Cecil) Bates, Devra Collier, both of Rock Island, Natisia (Rudy) Jiles, Boonville, Mo., Kirk Crockett, Thomas (Debra) Thompson and Jerome Collier; stepmother, Helen Fisher; and a special nephew, Keith Michael Collier. Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Fisher; mother, Neva Thompson; and a daughter, LaShaune Wright.
