Etta Fisher

Etta Mae Fisher, 87, of Silvis passed away March 7, 2015, at her daughter's home in East Moline. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, with visitation one hour before service time. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Etta Mae was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Sterling, the daughter of August and Effie Wagner Miller. She married Franklin Albert Fisher on July 4, 1947, in Moline. He passed away March 11, 2008. Etta Mae was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and taking pictures. Survivors include her children, Franklin D. Fisher, Moline, Rheta (Paul) Gottwalt, East Moline, Gerald (Debbie) Fisher, East Moline, Calvin (Karen) Fisher, Moline, and Michael (Lea Greene) Fisher, Andalusia; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Mary Talbot; and brother-in-law, Everett Fisher. Etta Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Brenda Smith; and grandchildren, Jennifer and JJ.
