Francis Bloomer

Francis G. Bloomer, 90, of Silvis passed away Aug. 14, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10am Saturday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church Missions.
Francis was born Nov. 20, 1926 in Hampton, IL the son of Edwin and Selma Hoffstetter Bloomer. He married Helen Bailey Jan. 13, 1948 in Palmyra, MO. Francis served in the Army during WWII. He retired from Case IH as a tool grinder after 40 years and enjoyed woodworking, flowers and gardening.
Survivors include his wife Helen; children Patricia Bloomer, Diana (Bryan) Stone, Donna (Dan) Glynn and Christopher Bloomer; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 sons Michael and Richard Bloomer.
