Frank D. Allison

Franklin D. Allison, 88, of Moline passed away July 21, 2022 at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Moline. 

Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, July 26 at Schroder Mortuary, Colona and will be available on Facebook Live on Schroder Mortuary Facebook Page. Visitation will be from 10am until service time. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church Rock Island, Illinois Missionary Fund. 

Franklin was born December 30, 1933 in Ava, MO the son of Walter and Lucy (Heatherly) Allison. He married Alta Barlett April 21, 1956 in Moline. She passed away July 17, 2001. Frank retired from Red Jacket as a machine operator and enjoyed reading the Bible, playing checkers, fishing, gardening, eagle watching, and metal detecting. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. 

Survivors include his daughters Shelly Allison, Cheryl (Bill) White, and Sue King; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother Walter “Bob” Allison and sisters Hazel Dowell and Cora Hipkins. 

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alta, and brothers Clarence “Dale” Allison and Ross Allison, son in law Rick King and a special friend Elaine Beckstrom.
