Freeman E. Brewer, 82, of Est Moline passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be 12:00pm Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Divine Mercy Parish – St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Colona. Visitation will be 2 hours prior at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Inurnment will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Freeman was born February 24, 1944 in Blue Grass, IA the son of Walter and Elma Spauge Brewer. He married Kathleen Puett October 8, 1964 in Peoria, IL. She passed away May 25, 2015. Freeman worked as an ambulance maintenance specialist at Illini Hospital for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing games on the computer and watching old westerns on TV. Freeman loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his children Eddie of Casper, WY, Michael of South Dakota, and Cynthia (Mitch) Borgel of Carbon Cliff; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a brother Wayne Whiting.

Freeman was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson Robert Dueth, and 2 brothers.
