Genevieve A. Gile, 96, of Silvis, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at her daughter's home in Appleton, Wis.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, with visitation 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Genevieve was born June 23, 1914, in LaCrosse, Wis., the daughter of John and Antonette Havlicek Koula. She married Earl W. Gile in LaCrosse. He passed away March 31, 1989.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Duane) Mach, Appleton; son, L.J. (Carol) Gile, Silvis; 12 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Audrey Chambers; a grandson, Curtis Chambers; four brothers; and two sisters.
