Gladys M. Ward, 99, of East Moline passed away March 11, 2024 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday, March 15th at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.
Gladys was born September 5, 1924 in Colona, IL the daughter of LaVern and Elizabeth Larson. She married Joseph “Jack” Ward August 13, 1943 in Gainesville, TX. He passed away January 26, 1993. Gladys operated the Colona Dairy Queen with her late husband from 1959 to 1976.
Survivors include her grandchildren Kristene (Tim) Pruett, Daniel Hilyer, and Connie Stouffer and several great grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patricia, brothers Gilbert; sisters Bessie Cass, Beulah Martin, and Joanne Struss and 2 great grandchildren.
