Howard P. Kepner Jr.

Howard P. Kepner Jr., 96, of Colona passed away January 23, 2026 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Dayton Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wildwood Baptist Church.

Howard was born July 14, 1929 in Moline, IL the son of Howard and Minnie Lou Camp Kepner. He married Joan Pobanz August 16, 1950 in Henry County, IL. She passed away May 4, 2014. Howard retired from John Deere Harvester Engineering department and enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include his children Darrell (Josie) Kepner, Nancy (Milo Veloz) Kepner, and David Kepner; 7 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Doug Kepner and grandson Chris Hawkins.
