Howard L. Stewart

Howard L. Stewart, 79, of Colona passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at his home.

A memorial visitation will be 4-6pm Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family.

Howard was born April 21, 1947 in Hanover, AR the son of Walter and Mary Halpain Stewart. He married Connie Rogers August 9, 1969 in Moline, IL. Howard retired from AT&T as an installer and repairman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball, and working crosswords. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his home-grown tomatoes and homemade deer jerky.

Survivors include his wife Connie; children Lori Phillips of East Moline and Steven (Terri) Stewart of Colona; grandchildren Sabrina Williams, Hannah (Adam) Baker, Braeden Morales, Elise Stewart, and Peyton Stewart; great grandchildren Aidyn Watkins, Journee Watkins, and Analycia Baker and a brother Jimmy (Leveta) Stewart of Coal Valley.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Cheryl, 7 sisters and 4 brothers.
