Iesther Austin

Iesther Austin, 76, of Papillion, NE passed away May 11, 2015 at St. Joe Villa in Omaha, NE. Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday at Mt. Zion Church in East Moline with visitation 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Iesther was born Aug. 23, 1938 in Moscow, TN the daughter of Asberry and Allie Mae Hunter Jones. She married Elbert Austin in East Moline in 1961. Iesther worked as a nurse's assistant for 27 years. She was a member of Church of God in Christ and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Survivors include her children John (Olivia) Austin and Vicki Austin; grandchildren Alexia Austin; siblings Mary (Robert) Burrell East Moline, IL, Nathaniel (Patricia) Jones Moline, IL and Thomas (Evelyn) Jones Memphis, TN. Iesther was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Mamie Allene Jones a sister Anne Mae Pride and brothers Jessie, Wilson, Willis, David and Sherman Sr.
