Jacqueline Stohl Mueting, 84, of Colona passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
A mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Friday, August 1, 2025 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Colona. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for Mass or Colona Food Pantry.
Jacqueline was born October 10, 1940 in Davenport, IA the daughter of John and Bernetta Allers Stohl. She married Lyle Mueting July 8, 1961 in Colona. He passed away February 11, 1995. Jacqueline worked at Millers Florist, the root beer stand in Colona. She later worked at the Aurora Public Library, retiring in 2002 after 10 years. She also sold Home Interior for over 15 years and worked at the Colona Library and 1 year at Community Action of Eastern Iowa. Jacqueline was a member of the Altar Society at St Patrick’s Catholic Church and volunteered at the Colona Food Pantry. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards on Wednesdays with her friends, and going to yard sales.
Survivors include her children Mike (Judy) Mueting of Colona, Bob (Brit) Mueting of Calamus, IA, Jerry Mueting of Colona, and Deborah (Ernest) Perdomo-Zabloudil of Milan; grandchildren Anthony Rosenthal, Dustin Mueting, Jacinda Krueger, Trent Mueting, Brett Rosenthal, Nikki Jacks, Brooke Daniels, Zane Mueting, Jessica Kroll, Chelsea Mueting, and Gage Mueting; several great grandchildren and sisters Sandy Heisch of Bennett, IA and Kathy Holevoet of Newton, IA.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
