James H. Cramblett, 82, of Silvis passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, Memorials may be made to DAV or Riverbend Food Pantry.

Jim was born October 6, 1943 in Moline, IL the son of James and Claire Weldy Cramblett. He graduated from Moline High School and attended Black Hawk College. Jim married Linda McKibbin November 28, 1968. He later married Kathy Ristau April 9, 1994. He worked at Western Airlines in Los Angeles prior to entering the United States Army. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era including 2 years in Panama. When he returned from the service Jim worked for the railroad. He later worked for Town Liquor and was a wine manager for Saelens. He also worked for Champion Realty in Silvis and was co-owner of Hard Times in Moline and Paupers Den in Silvis. Jim retired as the Assessor of Hampton Township. He served the City of Silvis as an Alderman and was a member of the East Moline Legion Honor Guard and Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Kathy; children Michelle (Perry) Anderson of Elkhart, IA, Matthew (Andrew McConn) Cramblett of Glasgow, Scotland, and Justine Fender of Bettendorf; grandchildren Sydney, Tucker, and Beckett Anderson, and Jenna (Drew Ferris) Fender, and Cole Fender; sister Carolee Dunton; sister-in-law Virginia Bristol and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bill Bristol, Darrell Bristol, Ayliffe Colbert, Buda Larson, and Sue Dingus.
