James Crimmins

James Richard Crimmins, 61, of Silvis, died Monday, March 2, 2015, at his residence. Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Riverbend Food Bank or for his granddaughters' college education. James was born May 30, 1953, in Rock Island, son of Don F. and Donna L. McLean Crimmins. He graduated in 1971 from United Township High School. He married Mary Anne Sim on March 29, 1980. James retired after 30 years with Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers Local No. 6, Rock Island. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan Survivors include his daughter, Katie (Marcos Soto) Crimmins, East Moline; sons, Matthew Crimmins, Chicago, Tomas (Stephanie Warren) Crimmins, East Moline, and Joseph Crimmins, East Moline; grandchildren, McKenna, McKenlea and Maci; aunt, Darlene "Catherine" (Darrell) Yeargle, East Moline; nieces, Hailee Polito and Heather Gall; and sister, Dorothy Polito, Silvis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
