James Allen Dekker, 55, of Silvis, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his residence of natural causes.

Mr. Dekker was born on Nov. 25, 1957, the son of Raymond and Elva Ross Dekker. He grew up in Moline and graduated from Moline Senior High School in 1976, then attended Black Hawk College. He enjoyed photography, bicycling and computer programming.
Survivors to Mr. Dekker include his brother, John Dekker, Kankakee, Ill.; sister, Judith (Dekker) Siebert, Iowa City; two nieces; a nephew; and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two nephews.
