Janet Bobb

Janet Bobb, 82, of East Moline passed away Dec. 16, 2015 at Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday at Silvis United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Association. Janet was born Aug. 16, 1933 in Rock Island the daughter of Clarence and Nell Brien Stromquist. She married Donald Bobb Aug. 12, 1950. He passed away April 13, 1979. Janet was a district manager for Moline Dispatch for many years. She was trustee for South Moline Township and a Precinct Committeeman for the Democratic party. She also chaired the Rebecca Circle for many years. Janet enjoyed politics, bird houses, flowers and spending time with her children. Survivors include her daughters Deborah Bobb of East Moline and Sherry (John) Colegrove of Athens, IL; sons Larry Bobb of Silvis, Tim (Mary) Bobb of Davenport, Tom (Juanita) Bobb of Moline and John Bobb of East Moline; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a special friend of hers and her family, Deb Kinnemann. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Christine Marie and Cynthia Lynn and sisters Dorothy Huff and Phyllis Davis.
