James "Jim" B. McCraw, 72, of Colona, died on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial is at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. He was born on May 10, 1940, in Sulligent, Ala., to Bryce and Margie Kitchens McCraw. He married Lonna Timbrook on June 14, 1968, in Rock Island County. Jim worked as a member of Teamsters and worked as a truck driver for 23 years at Churchill Truck Lines and later at CF, retiring in 1999. Survivors include his wife, Lonna; children, Vicki (Gerald) West, Louise Schaver, Christol Vance, Jim Ringer; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne McCraw, Coal Valley, Sue Bohannon, Alabama, Norma (Leroy) Boone, Alabama; and sisters-in-law, Elaine (Jerry) Franklin, Colona, and Wanda McCraw, Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
