Jimmie R. Simpson

Jimmie R. Simpson, 54, of Moline passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.

A Memorial Visitation will be 1-3:00 pm Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jimmie was born August 20, 1971 in Moline, IL the son of Melvin “Frenchie” and Shirley Garland Simpson.

He worked for PipeCo INC. for 20 years as a petroleum Equipment Technician and Illowa Enterprises INC. for 20 years.

Jimmie drove a modified stock car #28 for several years. He enjoyed shooting pool, darts and karaoke.

Survivors include his siblings Jackie (Kent) Mitchell, Joyce Baughn, and Francine Simpson; stepchildren Mike VanAusdale, Hutch Carver, Jake Davis, Derrik Argo, Stephanie Wagner; half sister Brenda Simpson; several nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Tony Baughn Sr. half sister Yvonne (Danny) Bricker and Vickie Simpson.
