John E Arnett

John E. Arnett, 68, of Silvis passed away March 3, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.

A memorial service will be 2pm Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

John was born April 30, 1954 in Moline, IL the son of Virgil and Lela (DeBruycker) Arnett. He married Sandra Hamilton December 19, 2008 in Moline. John worked as a security guard for Per Mar. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Cubs fan.

Survivors include his wife Sandra; son Jeremy; stepchildren Chantel Holmes, Pamela Stewart, Darin Romano, Jerry Romano Jr., and Tonya Walsh; granddaughter Natasha and 16 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Elodie Betzle; niece Darci Herbert and nephews Bruce Daebelliehn and Dr. Christopher Betzle.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother Lee Daebelliehn.
